Man ambushed and shot in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police believe a jealous ex-boyfriend ambushed a man outside a home in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened before 12 a.m. Monday in the 10000 block of Harrison Street.

According to police, the man was leaving his girlfriend's house when her ex-boyfriend came out of nowhere and opened fire.

The victim, a 48-year-old man, was hit four times.

The girlfriend drove him to an area hospital.

The shooter fled the scene in a white BMW.

The victim is in stable condition.
