WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police have charged a 30-year-old man in connection with a behind-the-wheel rampage that damaged a dozen vehicles in Wilmington, Delaware.

Nicholas Massi is charged with reckless driving, fleeing the scene of an accident, driving without insurance and other offenses.

The 911 calls started flooding in at 12:30 a.m. Friday from the 200 and 300 blocks of West 14th Street.

Watch Action Cam video from the scene where an out of control driver smashed into about a dozen cars.

Massi, police say, was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck, smashing into car after parked car on the street.

Police were able to stop him, but not before he damaged about a dozen vehicles, including a $100,000 Maserati, which police say he rammed repeatedly.

Calvin Edwards was jolted from his sleep.

"We just heard the revving of an engine, the crashing of cars, the screeching of tires," he said. "It wasn't a sideswipe issue, it was a full-blown ramming, backing up, ramming, accelerating, pushing cars, going from the street onto the sidewalk."

Massi was handcuffed and taken into custody. Witnesses told Action News he was expressionless, seemingly oblivious to the extensive damage he'd done.

"He got out of the car, he was really indifferent to what had happened, he didn't acknowledge the vehicles. He said someone was after him, he was trying to get away," said Edwards.

No one was hurt in the rampage.

Investigators are still working to determine what motivated the driver.
