TRENTON (WPVI) -- A suspect was arrested for attempting to rob a man inside the Mercer County Civil Courthouse.

Twenty-eight-year-old Gregory Walker of Bordentown is charged with robbery, possession of paraphernalia for narcotics and possession of a hypodermic needle.

Police say around 4 p.m. Tuesday Walker followed a man into the courthouse on the 100 block of South Board Street, and then repeatedly reached for the man's front pants pockets instructing him to, "Run your pockets."

When the man attempted to get away, police say Walker struck him causing a cut to his face.

Walker fled the building, but was quickly apprehended by Mercer County Sheriff officers across the street from the County's Criminal Courthouse on the 400 block of South Warren Street.

"If you carry out a crime on the courthouse campus, be assured you will get caught," said Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler.

Police say Walker was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Walker is being held at Trenton Police Department on $75,000 bail.
