Man assaulted and robbed in Center City

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Police are searching for two suspects after a 49-year-old man was assaulted and robbed in Center City, Philadelphia.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, May 5 when the victim was walking along the unit block of South 13th Street.

A man approached the victim and accused him of owing money, police say.

The victim then tried to run away, but was pushed against a wall.

Police say a second man watched as the victim's phone and wallet were taken.

Both suspects ran from the scene.

The victim suffered minor injuries.
