MANTUA (WPVI) -- A man was attacked with a hatchet in Philadelphia's Mantua section and sources say it may have stemmed from an argument between relatives.
It happened around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 3200 block of Mt. Vernon Street.
Sources tell Action News that the victim had been arguing with his father and stepbrother for much of the day over the disappearance of money in the house.
Tensions boiled over when the victim's father allegedly grabbed a hatchet and began swinging.
The victim wasn't struck with the blade but was hit several times with the handle.
He was taken to Penn-Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.
The victim's father and stepbrother were taken in for questioning.
