Man clipped by train in Delaware

A man is recovering Saturday morning after getting clipped by an Amtrak train in Newport, Delaware.

The accident happened around 9 a.m. along the tracks off East Ayre Street.

The victim was hit and then thrown several feet before landing on the ground.

He was rushed to Christiana Hospital and is expected to be okay.

Trains were delayed for a short time, but have since resumed.
