Man critical after being struck on Roosevelt Boulevard

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday on the 9800 block of Roosevelt Boulevard near Bowler Street.

Initial reports say the man believed to be in his late 40s to early 50s was struck by a car in the northbound lanes.

The man was taken to Aria Health Torresdale for care.

The driver of the striking car remained at the scene.
