Man critical after house fire in Hunting Park

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- One person suffered serious injuries in a fast-moving house fire in Philadelphia's Hunting Park neighborhood.

It happened around 4:00 p.m. in the 4400 block of North 8th Street.

Fire crews reported heavy flames showing from the two story home upon arrival.

Authorities say 25-year-old Demetrius Gordon suffered serious burns to the hands and face. He was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

The fire was brought under control in less than 15 minutes.

No word yet on a cause.
