Man critical after shooting in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a man is in critical condition after a shooting in West Philadelphia late Tuesday night.

Officers arrived around 10:30 p.m. to find a 41-year-old man lying on the 4900 block of West Thompson Street next to a mountain bike.

The victim had been shot several times. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Hospital.

According to police, an argument may have sparked the shooting.

They say a potential suspect was spotted in a blue or dark-colored vehicle.

Police are reviewing city surveillance video in hopes of getting a good look at the shooter.
