Man critically wounded in Frankford shooting

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- A man was critically injured in a shooting Sunday night in Philadelphia's Frankford section.

It was around 11:30 p.m. when police responded to the 1400 block of Arrott Street near Leiper Street.

The victim, a 23-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to the side.

He was taken to Aria Health's Torresdale campus where he is listed in critical condition.

At the hospital, police say they met with a 25-year-old man who said he was walking with the victim when the victim yelled "run" just before he fell to the ground.

The 25-year-old went on to say her heard someone yell "give me, give me," then heard a gunshot.

There have been no arrests.
