Man dead after stabbing at homeless shelter in Spring Garden

One man is dead and another is in custody after a stabbing at a homeless shelter in the Spring Garden section of Philadelphia.

It happened around 9 a.m. Saturday at the Sunday Breakfast Mission in the 300 block of North 13th Street.

The man who was stabbed was pronounced dead at the scene.

A weapon was recovered, police say.

The names of those involved have not been released.

There was no word on a motive for the stabbing.
