Police say a 34-year-old man was shot multiple times and died from his injuries in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a 34-year-old man was shot multiple times and died from his injuries in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

The shooting occurred around 12:10 a.m. on the 4300 block of Penn Street.

Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and torso.

They say six shell casings were found close to the victim, indicating he was shot at close range.

He was rushed to Temple University Hospital in critical condition. He later died from his injuries.

Police say they are looking for four men in connection to the deadly shooting.

The suspects fled in a dark vehicle, possibly a Cadillac.

Investigators are still trying to pinpoint a motive for the murder.
