Man gunned down in Frankford apartment

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are searching for the gunman that shot and killed a man overnight.

It happened just before midnight Friday on the 4300 block of Elizabeth Street in the city's Frankford section.

The 24-year-old victim was inside of his apartment when someone forced their way in and shot the man dead.

Arriving officers found the victim lying on his back suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and arms.

So far no arrests, and no word on why the man was shot.
