Man in car shot and killed in Port Richmond

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- A man was shot in the head while sitting inside a car in Port Richmond, Philadelphia police say.

It happened on the 1200 block of East Atlantic Street at 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the 30-year-old male victim was a passenger in a silver Dodge Avenger.

The man was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police have recovered a handgun and drugs from inside that car.

No arrests have been made.
