Man in car shot in Strawberry Mansion

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- A man was shot in a car in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia.

The shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Ridge Avenue and North 29th Street.

Police say the 26-year-old victim was sitting in his Mercedes Benz when he was approached by the gunman. The suspect pulled out a gun and shot the man in the back.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, and later upgraded to stable.

No arrests have been made, but police say they were able to get video of the shooting from a security camera at a nearby beer distributor.
