Man in custody after apartments evacuated in East Norriton apartment

EAST NORRITON, Pa. -- A man is in custody after shots were fired inside an apartment in East Norriton, Montgomery County.

It happened at the DeKalb Apartments in the 2600 block of DeKalb Pike just before midnight Tuesday.

There were reports of at least six to 10 shots fired.

No one was hurt, but several apartments were evacuated during the investigation.

The 37-year-old man who was taken into custody lives on the third floor, police said.

He was last reported to be in the hospital for observation.

There was no immediate word as why those shots were fired.
