Police say a man is in custody after a double stabbing in the Logan section of Philadelphia early Saturday morning.

LOGAN -- Police say a man is in custody after a double stabbing in the Logan section of Philadelphia early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred just before 1:00 a.m. inside a second floor apartment on the 1300 block of West Ruscomb Street.

A fight broke out and ended with two men stabbed.

Police say the first suspect, a 53-year-old man allegedly lunged at the second suspect, a 52-year-old man with a sharp object.

A 41-year-old man then attempted to intervene when he was stabbed in the head by the second suspect.

The fight continued and ended with the first suspect stabbed in the chest.

He was taken to Einstein Medical Center in critical condition.

The victim was also taken to the hospital and then released.

Investigators say the second suspect was taken into custody.

Both suspects will be charged with aggravated assault and related charges.
