Man killed after motorcycle hits SEPTA bus in Olney

OLNEY (WPVI) -- A 46-year-old man has died after a motorcycle hit a SEPTA bus in Philadelphia's Olney section.

It happened in the 5500 block of Rising Sun Avenue around 5 p.m. Friday.

Police say a man on a motorcycle traveling northbound on Rising Sun Avenue ran a red light and struck a Route 26 SEPTA bus traveling westbound on Olney Avenue.

The victim was rushed to Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 5:44 p.m.

No one on the bus was reported hurt.
