Man killed in shooting at Southwest Philadelphia apartments

A man was killed in a shooting in Southwest Philadelphia.

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 25-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday at Korman Suites Apartments located on the 8400 block of Lindbergh Boulevard.

Police say the victim, located in the parking lot was shot multiple times.

After attempting to resuscitate the man, medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The victim's fiancé told police that they were returning home, and before they parked their vehicle, they saw an unknown man sitting on the steps of the rental office.

After the couple parked, that same man was seen walking behind their vehicle.

The witness said the victim got out of the car to throw out trash, and that's when the suspect starting firing at him.

The witness told police, there was no argument or conversation that she could hear between the victims and suspect.

There was also no attempt to rob the victim.

The suspect fled the scene heading northbound through a walkway, and disappeared.

Police have not released the victim's name.

So far, no arrests or motive.
