Man recovering after shooting in New Castle Co.

MINQUADALE, Del. (WPVI) -- Authorities say a man is home from the hospital after being shot in New Castle County, Delaware.

It happened around 10:40 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Parma Avenue in Minquadale.

Officers arrived to find a 31-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.

He was transported to Christiana Hospital where he was later treated and released.

Initial reports indicated the victim was critically injured. That turned out not to be the case.

Police are still investigating what led to the gunfire.
