Man robbed and shot in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An armed man robbed and then shot a 25-year-old man in North Philadelphia.

Police say the attacker got into a scuffle with the victim in the 1500 block of West Huntingdon Street at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The gunman knocked the man down, opened fire, rifled through the victim's pockets, and took off with some cash.

The victim was shot in the stomach and is hospitalized at Temple University in critical condition.

Police are searching for the gunman.
