Police say a man was shot and killed on a North Philadelphia street early Saturday morning.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a 20-year-old male was shot and killed on a North Philadelphia street early Saturday morning.

The shooting happened just past 2:00 a.m. on the 2100 block of West Indiana Avenue.

The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his back.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital by police and pronounced dead.

According to police, when officer arrived they saw two males attempting to place the victim inside of the back seat of a vehicle.

Officers determined that there was an argument between two groups of people at 22nd and Indiana Avenue.

During the argument, police say the victim and two other males were chased.

Police say the suspect fired about 10 shots and the victim was struck.

There were no other people injured.

The victim's name has not been released.
