Man shot and killed in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting in South Philadelphia.

It happened after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of Taney Terrace.

Police tell Action News a man in his 20s was shot in the stomach and taken by police to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

He died a short time later.

There was no immediate word what led to the shooting.

Police are searching for suspects.
