Man shot and killed in West Oak Lane

WEST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for the person who gunned down a man in the West Oak Lane section of the city.

The shooting happened shortly after midnight Sunday on the 2100 block of Spencer Street.

The victim, identified as 47-year-old Thomas Fields, suffered a gunshot wound the chest and another to the neck.

He was taken to Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

There is no word on what sparked the shooting.
