Man shot and killed in West Philadelphia ID'd

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have identified a man who was shot and killed in West Philadelphia.

It happened around 5:10 p.m. Monday in the area of 62nd and Market streets.

The victim, 49-year-old Joseph Darnell Jones was shot once in the left side of his body.

He was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

No arrests have been made.
