Man shot behind wheel of car dies in Tioga-Nicetown

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a man shot behind the wheel of a car died in the Philadelphia's Tioga-Nicetown section early Friday morning.

The shooting happened around 2:00 a.m. on the 3700 block of Germantown Avenue.

Three shots shattered the car window and police say, the victim was shot at point blank range.

Two others were in the car but were not hurt.

The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Police say he later died from his injuries.

So far, there have been no arrests or word on a motive.
