Man shot in the head in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a man was shot twice in the head in South Philadelphia.

It happened around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Watkins Street.

The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities say three men were seen fleeing the area on foot after the shooting.

No word on a motive.

Police continue to investigate.
