MANTUA (WPVI) -- Homicide detectives are investigating a deadly shooting in Philadelphia's Mantua section on the steps of a community center.

It happened around 8:26 p.m. Wednesday in front of the Mantua Haverford Early Morning Center, located along the 600 block of North 39th Street.

Officers arrived to find 29-year-old Piere Burbage lying on the porch with multiple gunshot wounds.

Burbage was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police say the victim's young son was with him and may have witnessed his father's murder.

Surveillance video showed Burbage involved in an argument with the suspect, before the gunman fired three shots.

One of the bullets hit the door of the community center, police say.

Police are not sure what motivated the killing.
