Police say a man was sitting on the front porch of a residence in North Philadelphia when a gunman approached and opened fire.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a man was sitting on the front porch of a residence in North Philadelphia when a gunman approached and opened fire.

The shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of North 19th Street and West Susquehanna Street.

The 24-year-old victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

So far, no arrests have been made and no word on what sparked the shooting.
