WEST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- Police say a 49-year-old man was stabbed several times in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.
The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. Thursday on the 6700 block of Ogontz Avenue.
The victim was stabbed in the chest. He managed to run a block to a nearby mini market where police were called.
He was rushed to Einstein Hospital in critical condition.
Police are sorting out the details, but they say a vacuum cleaner was also used in the fight.
The suspect, a 56-year-old man drove himself to Einstein. He was treated for cuts to his head.
He was taken into custody and faces aggravated assault charges.
