Man struck and killed in Parkside section of Philadelphia

PARKSIDE (WPVI) -- A vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian in Philadelphia's Parkside section.

It happened just after 12 a.m. Friday at 53rd Street and Parkside Avenue.

Police say the victim was a man in his late teens to early 20s.

Medics rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver stayed at the scene after the incident.

No word if any charges will be filed.
