Man struck by car in Mantua

MANTUA (WPVI) -- Police say a man was struck by a car in Philadelphia's Mantua section.

It happened around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at 37th and Spring Garden streets.

Authorities say the victim is a man in his 30s.

He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania but no word on his condition.

The driving of the striking vehicle did stop at a scene.

Police are investigating.
