Man hit by multiple vehicles on I-95 identified

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police have identified the man who was struck and killed by multiple vehicles on Interstate 95 in Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday.

Michael Ewell, 44, of Wilmington, died after the crash on the highway near Delaware Avenue at 9:10 p.m.

Investigators say Ewell walked into the path of an SUV. That SUV, and three other vehicles that also hit Ewell, stopped at the scene.

Police said on Monday that the driver of a fifth vehicle, who did not stop at the scene, has since come forward.

Though the investigation is continuing, police say no charges are expected.
