Man surrenders after Upper Moreland standoff

UPPER MORELAND, Pa. (WPVI) -- A man surrendered peacefully following a stand-off in Upper Moreland, Montgomery County.

A SWAT team was called to a home in the area of Abbeyview Avenue and Davisville Road Wednesday morning.

The original call was for a possible suicidal person with weapons.

There were no injuries and no shots were fired.

Police say the man they took into custody is being taken for a mental health evaluation.
