Man taken to hospital after Queen Village collapse

QUEEN VILLAGE (WPVI) -- A man was taken to the hospital after a collapse on Friday afternoon in the Queen Village section in Philadelphia.

The incident happened around 1:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Monroe Street.

Authorities say the 32-year-old man fell during demolition work at the home.

Rescuers say the victim was trapped in the rear of the home.

He was rescued and taken to an area hospital. He's reported to be in stable condition.

Another person was involved, but that person refused medical treatment.
