Man wounded after several shots fired in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. -- Police say a man was left wounded after several shots were fired in Wilmington, Delaware Wednesday morning.

The incident happened just after 9:40 a.m. on the unit bock of East 23rd Street.

Police arrived after receiving reports that five to six gunshots were heard in the area.

They say the 37-year-old male victim was found and taken to Christiana Care Hospital.

He was reported to be in serious but stable condition.

His name has not been released.

An investigation continues.
