Masked man robs 7-Eleven in Port Richmond

Philadelphia police are looking for a suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven store in the city's Port Richmond section.

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police say a masked robber targeted a convenience store in the city's Port Richmond section early this morning.

It happened at the 7-Eleven located on the 3300 block of Aramingo Avenue.

The male suspect entered the store at 1:15 a.m. and approached the counter with a mask covering his face.

He simulated that he had a weapon and demanded two cartons of cigarettes.

When the employee refused, the suspect demanded money from the registers instead.

The thief then casually walked from the store with an unknown amount of cash and one carton of cigarettes.

He fled in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, 6'2 tall with hazel or blue eyes and a thin build. He was wearing a black mask and a green coat with black trim.
