Minivan hits tree after crash on icy Delco road

UPPER PROVIDENCE TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A minivan slammed into a tree after a crash on an icy road Sunday in Upper Providence Twp., Delaware County.

The crash happened around 4:10 p.m. in the 500 block of State Road.

The vehicle slid, with the minivan hitting the tree right on the driver's side door.

The driver was taken to Riddle Memorial Hospital with some broken bones.

Police are investigating.
