Police say the missing 10-year-old girl who went missing from her home in the Strawberry Mansion section of Philadelphia has been found safe.

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- A 10-year-old girl is home safe, after a frantic search in Strawberry Mansion.

Her family spent several gut-wrenching hours, fearing the worst, after she went missing overnight.

Tears flowed Saturday morning as 10-year-old Bria Mount returned to her aunt's house where she lives.

"I feel so relieved that she's here. I've been up all night, all morning, I can't sleep. I've been walking these neighborhoods all night long," said Vetrina McFarlin, aunt.

The 5th grader was reported missing to police at 2:00 a.m. Saturday after she failed to return to her aunt's West French Street home.

"She says she tried to call but nobody answered the phone. That's all I know," said Leslie Ashton, grandmother.

"Nobody answered, she said so. It was late. The lady wanted her to stay there. She didn't want to travel at nighttime," said Rahiem Ali, uncle.

The child, who was apparently with a friend in the area of 31st and York streets, tried to call her mother but her mother says she didn't pick up the call because she didn't recognize the number.

Family members and friends are angry that the unidentified adult at the house where Bria stayed didn't make more of an effort to either contact them or bring the child home.

"Even if this child plays with your kids, she should have found out whose child was it and she should have come to them and found out is it alright for your child to be in my house overnight," said Phyllis, family friend.

"This child is at my house all night long. I would have called. It's simple plain as that. That's not right," said Sheena Mount, aunt.

It was a scary night but thankfully the little girl has been located and is now safely home with family.
