Motorized scooter stolen from outside Wilmington home

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A partially paralyzed man had his scooter stolen off the street in Wilmington, Delaware.

The motorized scooter was taken around 8:00 Saturday night on the 500 block of East 9th Street.

Keelien Griffin says her 28-year-old son, Shane, was shot in the head five years ago and needs the scooter to get around.

It was taken while he was inside his grandmother's house.

The theft has been reported to police.
