SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Dozens of people came to mourn the loss of a little boy who was killed in a hit-and-run in Southwest Philadelphia.
The memorial service for 4-year-old Latif Wilson was held Saturday at Greater Bible Way Temple Church in West Philadelphia.
Latif died after running into traffic near 57th and Litchfield Streets on Monday night.
Police have already made contact with the suspected driver's attorney but she has not yet been arrested.
Latif's grief-stricken grandmother says her family needs justice and closure.
"Please turn yourself in and stop trying to negotiate. It was an accident. You shouldn't have kept going, you shouldn't have kept going but it is what it is," said Monique Lockwood, grandmother.
After the memorial service, mourners released balloons in the child's honor.
