Person freed from vehicle in Hunting Park accident

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- At least one person had to be freed from a vehicle after an accident in Hunting Park.

The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Whitaker Avenue and Luzerne Street.

Chopper 6 over the scene showed an overturned SUV.

Action News is told at least one person was trapped and had to be removed from the vehicle.

Earlier reports indicated this was a multi-vehicle crash, but police on the scene say only the SUV was involved.

There is no word yet on the extent of injuries or on what may have caused the accident.
