A serious crash sent several people to the hospital, including an infant.

SOUTHAMPTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- New Jersey State Police say an infant was among those injured in a multiple vehicle accident in Southampton, Burlington County Friday afternoon.

It was shortly after 3:00 p.m. when two work vans, a car, and a SUV towing a camper collided on Route 206 near Route 38.

The infant, who was inside the car, was reportedly injured by glass and flown to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.

An adult was also transported to Cooper University Hospital for treatment.

Eight others were taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

There is no word at this time on the conditions of the infant and the adult taken to Cooper.

Route 206 was shut down between Route 38 and Woodlane Road while authorities remained on the scene.
