A Washington state police officer was dragged by a car for roughly 100 feet while trying to arrest an accused shoplifter.

A Washington state police officer was dragged by a car for roughly 100 feet while trying to arrest an accused shoplifter.

Police were called to this Target store after employees noticed two men stealing electronics.

Officer Fred Douglas who arrived on the scene quickly and detained the driver.

But as he was attempting to arrest the second man, the suspect put the car into reverse and sped away.

Fortunately the car hit a parked SUV and stopped.

Douglas was not seriously hurt.
