Officials implode former public housing buildings

A housing complex in Jersey City, New Jersey went out with a bang, literally.

Jersey City imploded three buildings at a former public housing site to make way for a mixed income, affordable senior housing community.

The implosion took place around 9:00 a.m. Saturday.

The implosion was streamed live online by the website EarthCam.
