Officials say a Montgomery County teen does not have measles.

A 15-year-old Montgomery County boy with a suspected case of measles has been given the all clear, officials announced Sunday.

The Montgomery County Department of Health says all specimens were submitted and analyzed and measles virus was not detected in the teen.

In addition, officials say the lab results showed that the teen had immunity.

Health officials say there is no threat to the public from measles in Montgomery County.

The teen was in self-isolation at home during the evaluation.

The state Department of Health and the Montgomery County Health Department continue to urge parents to have their children immunized.
