PECO worker receives electrical shock in Delaware County

CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- A PECO worker was shocked while performing maintenance work at an intersection in Delaware County on Wednesday.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. at 21st Street and Edgemont Avenue in Chester.

Police say the 26-year-old from Ridley Park was saved by the Emergency Service Unit.

That unit of police is specially trained and can carry out emergency responses like resuscitation until medics arrive.

The man was taken to the hospital and was conscious when admitted.

PECO is investigating what actually happened.
