Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run accident on Roosevelt Boulevard

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA -- Police say a man was struck and injured in a hit-and-run accident on Roosevelt Boulevard early Thursday morning.
The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. near F Street in Northeast Philadelphia.
According to police, the impact of the crash sent the man flying onto the sidewalk.
He suffered head and chest injuries.
The victim was rushed to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
Police are searching for the driver of a dark-colored vehicle who fled the scene.
