Pedestrian stop leads to drug arrest in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. -- Police say a pedestrian stop led to the arrest of a 25-year-old woman who was already actively wanted in Wilmington, Delaware Friday night.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Taylor and North Pine Streets.

Officers on patrol recognized Mikesha Washington and knew she was wanted.

A positive identification was made and Washington was placed into custody.

Police say Washington was found in possession of 130 bags of heroin on her person.

She was booked on her active warrant as well as possession with the intent to deliver heroin.

Washington bail was set at 10,000 unsecured.
