Fire crews were on the scene of a interior building collapse in West Philadelphia.

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Fire crews were on the scene of a interior building collapse in West Philadelphia.

The collapse happened before 4:30 a.m. at 60th and Chancellor streets.

One resident was trapped when a first floor gave away, and he fell through to the basement.

He was trapped for a short time before rescue crews could reach him.

He was evaluated at the scene.
